Day One Reading

Everything you need to understand what Cloud Nexus is, how this website works, and why we built it the way we did.

A Genuine Thank You

Before anything else — thank you. To every consultant, every project manager, every marketer, and every person who has contributed to building Cloud Nexus into what it is today: your effort, expertise, and dedication are what this company runs on.

The work you do isn't just delivering Salesforce implementations — it's helping real companies fix real problems, giving teams tools they can actually use, and building trust one engagement at a time. That matters. We see it, we appreciate it, and we don't take it for granted.

— Bob Rollar & the Cloud Nexus Leadership Team

🔒 Internal Document — Not for Public Distribution

Cloud Nexus is a remote-first Salesforce consulting firm. We don't have offices in 20 cities — we serve them all remotely. We have active clients in select cities today, and we're building presence in others. The goal is clear: establish a strong footprint in each market. This website reflects that strategy — honest about where we work now, and ambitious about where we're expanding. We're not claiming local presence we don't have; we're stating our intention to become the trusted Salesforce partner in every market we serve.

This site exists for one primary reason: generate qualified leads. Everything else — the blog, the team page, the city pages, the partner pages — is in service of that goal. But we're doing it without tricks, without fake social proof, and without hiding how we work or what we charge.

If a visitor leaves this site without contacting us, they should at least leave knowing exactly what we do, who does it, and what it costs. That transparency is the sales strategy.

Our Positioning in Plain English

  • No-fluff tone — it filters for the right clients
  • Real team photos, real bios, real certifications — no stock faces
  • Transparent hourly billing — no retainers, no minimums, no surprises
  • Remote delivery is a feature, not an apology

We have dedicated pages for 23 cities: Raleigh, Durham, Greensboro, Charlotte, Atlanta, Austin, Boston, Dallas, Denver, Detroit, Florida, Houston, Los Angeles, Miami, New York City, Philadelphia, Portland, San Diego, San Francisco, Seattle, Tampa Bay, Salt Lake City, and Hartford.

Important: We currently have active clients in a select number of these cities (Raleigh, Boston, Charlotte, Atlanta, Greensboro, and Durham). The other cities represent our expansion targets — markets where we're building presence and want to serve clients. This two-part strategy is intentional: demonstrate proven expertise where we work, and offer new-market incentives to build footholds in new regions.

✅ What These Pages ARE

  • Geo-targeted landing pages for organic search
  • Honest acknowledgment of the city's business environment
  • A statement that we serve clients in this market — remotely and well
  • Conversion pages for traffic we already earn through rankings

đŸšĢ What These Pages Are NOT

  • Fake "local office" pages
  • Keyword-stuffed doorway pages with no real value
  • Misleading about how we deliver work
  • An attempt to fool anyone about our physical presence

We already rank organically for "Salesforce consulting [city]" in several of these markets. That ranking was earned through legitimate content and real client work. These pages exist to convert that traffic — honestly.

📈 Future Expansion: Adding Cities as Markets Mature

The city pages you see today are just the beginning. As Cloud Nexus establishes itself in new markets and secures clients in additional cities, we'll add new landing pages to our site. Each page takes minutes to create now — not months.

Why? We're building this with AI and Base44.

  • Base44 gives us a fast, scalable backend with entities, forms, and data management built in — no database setup
  • AI handles content generation: city-specific copy, SEO metadata, FAQ sections, and hero messaging are generated intelligently and refined by humans
  • React + Tailwind components are modular and reusable — one city template generates all 23 pages
  • Adding a new city is as simple as: add data to the cityData file, and the page builds itself
  • Forms, lead capture, and Salesforce integration are already wired — no extra work per new market

What used to take a web agency weeks to build now takes hours. That's the power of AI-assisted development on a modern platform.

In addition to cloudnexus.ai, we have built and maintain a network of city-specific domains — each one hyper-optimized for a single local search market. These are not cheap redirect pages. They are fully built, content-rich websites designed from day one with one goal: rank #1 in that city for Salesforce consulting searches.

This strategy was intentional and it's working. We maintain excellent organic rankings across all of these domains, which feed qualified traffic directly back into the Cloud Nexus lead funnel. Every visitor who finds us through one of these city sites is already searching for exactly what we offer.

💡 How This Strategy Works

  • Each city domain is a standalone site targeting one city — giving it maximum local search ranking authority
  • We're setting up permanent 301 redirects from each city domain to its matching page on cloudnexus.ai — this tells Google "this site moved here" and transfers all the SEO ranking power and authority the old domain built up
  • All sites link back to cloudnexus.ai, reinforcing the main domain's authority
  • Visitors landing on city domains are automatically sent to the same Free Audit / 30 Min Consult CTA
  • This multiplies our organic footprint without paid advertising spend — we're leveraging years of SEO work on those old domains
  • We are fully transparent: we serve these cities remotely — we're not pretending to have local offices

Here's the thing: Cloud Nexus could never claim to be excellent at Salesforce consulting, integrations, automation, or anything else we sell — unless we used those exact same tools and strategies on our own business. We don't just implement Salesforce for clients; we run our own org. We don't just recommend data migrations; we've migrated our own systems. We don't just talk about CRM best practices; we live them.

Same with this website. We preach SEO, content strategy, remote-first operations, and data-driven marketing. So we built this site using those exact principles. Our city pages rank. Our blog converts. Our forms feed qualified leads into Salesforce. This isn't a marketing promise — it's a working example of what we do.

✅ How We Validate Our Expertise

  • We run Salesforce ourselves — so we know what works and what breaks
  • We use the tools we implement for clients — we understand the friction points firsthand
  • This website is our proof of concept — every strategy we pitch is working here
  • Our case studies aren't hypothetical — they're projects we've completed and validated
✗
Not Misleading about location. We serve clients remotely. The city pages reflect markets we work in — not offices we have.
✗
Not Hiding pricing. How We Bill explains our billing process and philosophy — not actual prices. We qualify customers first and discuss pricing once we understand their needs. (We are competitive compared to most markets, but pricing comes after discovery.)
✗
Not Fake social proof. Every testimonial, case study, and stat on this site is real.
✗
Not A content farm. Every page has a specific strategic purpose — no filler.
✗
Not Selling to everyone. The direct, no-fluff tone is intentional. It filters for the right clients and repels the wrong ones.

We scraped and migrated 9 blog posts from the original cloudnexus.ai/blog-2 site into this application. All posts are now stored as BlogPost entity records in the database, fully searchable and filterable within the site.

What We Built

  • A /Blog index page with search, category filters, and card grid
  • A /BlogPostDetail page that renders each post with full Markdown content
  • 9 seeded blog posts including categories, tags, authors, and featured images
  • Reading time estimates and related post suggestions

Why It Matters

  • Blog content now lives in our own database — no dependency on the legacy site
  • All traffic from old blog URLs can be 301 redirected here to preserve SEO equity
  • New posts can be added directly in the admin panel
  • Consistent design with the rest of the site — no jarring handoff

Each city landing page now has two distinct hero versions that switch automatically based on whether we have active clients in that city. This is controlled by a simple flag in the codebase — no code changes needed to switch a city's mode.

✅ "Established Market" Hero

Used for: Raleigh, Boston, Charlotte, Atlanta, Greensboro, Durham

  • Green "Actively Serving [City]" badge
  • Confident, credentialed headline and copy
  • Social proof that mentions active local clients
  • Standard free audit CTA

đŸŽ¯ "New Market" Hero

Used for: all other cities

  • Amber "Now Expanding to [City]" badge — honest and transparent
  • Prominent New Client Promotion box: free audit, 25% off first project, no contract
  • Framed as an exclusive launch offer — not an apology
  • Form badge reinforces the discount offer

How to Switch a City

In components/landing/HeroSection.js, find the CITIES_WITH_CLIENTS set and add the city name exactly as it appears (e.g. 'Houston'). The hero will automatically switch to the established version on next deploy.

We are in the process of configuring 301 permanent redirects from our legacy city-specific domains to the corresponding city landing pages on cloudnexus.ai. This is a standard SEO migration pattern that preserves the link equity and search rankings built up on those domains.

Legacy Domain (redirects from)Destination on cloudnexus.ai
www.salesforceraleigh.com→ www.cloudnexus.ai/salesforce_consulting_raleigh
www.salesforceboston.com→ www.cloudnexus.ai/salesforce_consulting_boston

âš ī¸ Important Note

These redirects are configured at the DNS / hosting level on the source domains — not inside this application. They are typically set in Cloudflare, cPanel, or the domain registrar. Once set, Google will attribute the ranking equity of the old domain to the new destination URL within a few weeks.

We've built a Secure Suggestion Box for internal team feedback. It's a standalone app with 6-digit OTP authentication, configurable delivery providers (Email, SMS, WhatsApp, Telegram), and a full admin panel for managing suggestions and users.

How It Works

  • Team members request access with email or phone
  • System validates against AllowedUsers and sends 6-digit OTP
  • User verifies code and gets a secure session token
  • Access to suggestion form with optional anonymous submission

Admin Controls

  • Manage allowed users (add/remove, activate/deactivate)
  • Review and update suggestion status (New → Reviewed → Actioned)
  • Configure system settings (OTP provider, expiry, attempt limits)
  • View all submissions with optional anonymity

Access the System

You're part of something that's been built with intentionality and honesty. Welcome to Cloud Nexus — now go do great work.
